Beyond Dispute Ltd was set up by Olivia van der Werff LLB (Hons) LPC CMIOSH FRSH MRIPH TiFireE.
Olivia van der Werff is a solicitor who qualified and worked in private practice, in litigation before setting up and running a consultancy. She was one of the first solicitors in the country to dual qualify in health and safety and is now a Chartered Member of IOSH and a Member of the Occupational Safety and Health Consultants Register - http://www.oshcr.org/.
Olivia works with a wide range of clients providing straight-forward and user friendly advice.
She specialises in two areas of risk management within the television industry - health and safety consultancy in reality tv and outside events – and adjudication of quizes, television shows and phone votes.
She was the first adjudicator on Deal or No Deal working with Endemol plc and since then has worked on shows a number of shows including Red or Black?, The Chase, Let's Dance, In It To Win It, Who Dares Wins, The Colour of Money, Eurovision Song Contest, Your Country Needs You, The One and Only, Krypton Factor, Basil’s Swap Shop.
Beyond Dispute is an approved BBC verifier and one of Olivia's specialities is verification of judging panels and back up jurys. Olivia has worked with BBC Compliance departments to shape a set of guidelines for running judging panels.
Olivia has provided health and safety consultancy to a large number of shows including Boys and Girls Alone, Vodafone TBA’s 1, 2 and 3, Ultimate Challenge, Big Brother, Soccer Aid, Only Fools On Horses.
