LLB LPC CMIOSH

"The world of Compliance/ Standards and Practices on game and competition shows can be frenetic. You are often making important decisions in a fast-paced environment while weighing multiple factors. Partnering with Olivia on the US version of “99 to Beat” was a privilege. She is knowledgeable, decisive and has a sharp mind for fairness. Her presence is calming, and her wit is top tier. It’s no wonder she’s highly respected and trusted by the creative community. I hope to work with Olivia again in the very near future."

Rasheea Hall, Senior Vice President, Standards and Practices, Fox

Founder and Managing Director

Olivia leads Beyond Dispute’s compliance and fairness teams, bringing over two decades of experience in television, mediation, and workplace compliance.

Her first foray into television came in 2005 when she was asked to be the inaugural adjudicator on Deal or No Deal for Endemol. At the time, quiz and game shows were largely unscrutinised, with producers left to interpret Ofcom requirements themselves. Olivia’s work helped set new standards for fairness and transparency in the industry, and over the years she has built a long list of credits and a wealth of experience in compliance and dispute resolution.  During this time she developed the Beyond Dispute Code of Fairness which ensures that all shows supported by Beyond Dispute are subject to the same high standards.

Alongside her television work, Olivia is a mediator in civil and workplace disputes. She practised as a solicitor in Bristol before becoming one of the first solicitors in the UK to dual-qualify in health and safety. She went on to establish and grow a national health and safety consultancy through a franchise model, eventually selling the company to an AIM-listed PLC in 2004 before founding Beyond Dispute.  This experience gives her a strong commercial understanding.

Olivia is a Chartered Member of the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health and an Associate Member of BAFTA.

She also volunteers as a mediator for the Brighton & Hove Independent Mediation Service (BHIMS).

When she’s not working, Olivia can be found walking her dog on the beach on the South Coast where she lives, cooking with vegetables from her garden, or enjoying live music and comedy.
